August 2015 Birchbox Review

Birchbox has always been one of my favorite subscription boxes.  Each month, you receive 4-6 samples based on a beauty profile you fill out.  It's only $10 a month and you can use coupon code: SUBSCRIBENOW50 to earn 50 points ($5) to spend in the Birchbox shop when you subscribe.  In addition, Birchbox allows you to choose one of your sample choices each month or choose a guest editor curated box.  After receiving your box, you can review each sample and share your box on facebook/twitter to earn 10 points per review/share (typically, you'll earn about 60 points a month just by doing this)!  Their point system is great and their customer service is amazing.

Here is this month's box!  I thought the design was perfect for the end of summer/month of August!

Each box comes with a card explaining the product samples you received as well as the full price items.  In addition, you typically receive a coupon code.  I didn't take a picture of the product breakdown because I thought the other side of it was too cute not to take a picture of!

I've learned that using SPF on your hands is one of the best ways to prevent aging so this is definitely a great sample!  As for the moisturizing, I like this product brand, but I already have a ton of moisturizers and will probably just swap this or give it to a friend.

Balance Me Congested Skin Serum: Full Size, 15 ml- $30
R+Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo: Full Size, 6.3oz- $29

Lately, I've been extremely stressed out so this serum is perfect because my skin hasn't been reacting so well to my stress!  It's lightweight and doesn't have an overpowering scent.  The dry shampoo was my sample choice this month.  I'm a dry shampoo addict and this is definitely in my top 5 of ones I've tried so I may be purchasing it soon!

LAQA&Co. Charm School Kit: Set of 3- $20 (I received the Cray Cray color which is described as a coral peach)

This was a disappointment.  I love this brand and their lip products but this color is AWFUL on me.   It's just an odd orange and it made me look horrible....so I won't be wearing it probably ever.  I attempted to create a swatch of it below.

Birchbox Sampler: Mask Madness: $15

Each month, Birchbox gives you options to add items at discounted prices to your box.  This month, I decided to partake in this for the first time.  I love face masks so I thought this sampler would be perfect for me!

Here is an overview of the face masks I received.  I'm excited because they all serve different purposes and are unique from each other plus they all come from great, trustworthy brands.  Also, I cannot believe the awesome value of this sample pack!
